The weak linkYour hands quit first.
The problem

Grip gives out before your back does.

Your back, lats and traps can handle more load and more reps than your fingers can hold. Straps close that gap.

  • 01
High-rep pullsBy rep eight of a deadlift or RDL set the bar is peeling out of your fingers, and the set ends early.
  • 02
Heavy shrugs & rack pullsThe loads that build your traps and lockout are heavier than you can hold double-overhand.
  • 03
Rows that train forearmsYou meant to train your back. Your forearms burned out instead.
  • 04
Bar sliding at the topA sweaty hand and a heavy hold, and you're re-gripping between reps.

The white rubber covering.

The detail that makes these NBD straps. A ribbed white rubber layer over the wrist band adds rigidity and support, so the band sits firm and holds its shape when the bar is heavy. Drag the lens across it.

Three shapes

Pick how you lock in.

Shape 01Straight

The classic open-tail strap. Wrap the tail around the bar as many times as you want, and open your hand to let go. The most versatile shape.

  • Deadlifts
  • Rows
  • Pulldowns
  • First pair

Shape 02Infinity 8

A figure-8 loop. One end around your wrist, the other under the bar and back over your hand. Once it's on, you're locked to the bar, so it's built for the heaviest holds.

  • Heavy shrugs
  • Rack pulls
  • Max holds

Shape 03Collar

One loop goes over your hand, and the strap splits into two tails underneath. Wrap both tails around the bar and roll them tight: two wraps from one strap, with an even hold across the bar.

  • Deadlifts
  • Rows
  • Double wrap
How to strap in

Ten seconds. Then pull.

  1. 01

    Band on

Slide your hand through the loop so the white rubber band sits snug on your wrist. One strap per hand: left and right.

  2. 02

    Tail under

Run the tail under the bar and back over the top, wrapping in the direction your fingers close.

  3. 03

    Roll tight

Roll the bar toward you to cinch the strap until there's no slack between wrist and bar.

  4. 04

    Grip & pull

Close your hand over strap and bar, brace and pull. Unroll to release.

Collar: hand through the loop, then wrap both tails around the bar together and roll tight. Infinity 8: put one loop around your wrist, pass the other under the bar, then put the same hand back through it. It doesn't release quickly, so lower the bar under control and set it down before you take the strap off.

Every heavy pull.

Built for

Deadlifts & RDLs

High-rep sets, back-off sets and Romanian deadlifts, where the bar outlasts your fingers.

02

Shrugs

Load your traps, not your grip.

03

Rack pulls

Overloaded lockouts, held tight.

04

Rows

Barbell, dumbbell, cable: train lats, not forearms.

05

Pulldowns

Lat pulldowns and pull-ups to the last rep.

The grip stack

Straps + Liquid Chalk. The best pair in your bag.

Chalk keeps your palms dry so your grip holds. Straps take over when the load or the reps outlast it. Together, the bar stays put from your first warm-up to your last back-off set.

Warm-ups: chalkChalk on, no straps. Your grip still gets trained on the lighter sets.
Top sets: bothChalked palms under the strap, so the band and the bar don't slip on sweat.
Back-offs: strapsHigh reps when your fingers are cooked, and your back still has work to do.

Questions

Straight answers.

What does the white rubber covering do?

It's the ribbed white rubber layer on the wrist band. It adds rigidity and support, so the band sits firm on your wrist and holds its shape under heavy load instead of folding or bunching up.

Which shape should I buy?

Straight if it's your first pair or you want the most versatile strap. Wrap it as much as you like and open your hand to let go. Infinity 8 for the heaviest holds like shrugs and rack pulls, where you want to be locked to the bar. Collar if you want a double wrap: the loop goes over your hand and its two tails both roll onto the bar.

Is it one strap or a pair?

A pair: one for the left hand, one for the right. "1 Pair" is two straps, "2 Pairs" is four, "3 Pairs" is six, all in the shape you choose.

Will straps make my grip weaker?

Not if you use them where they belong. Keep your warm-ups and some working sets strap-free so your grip still gets trained, then strap up for top sets, high-rep sets and back-off work where grip would otherwise end the set.

Can I use lifting straps in a powerlifting meet?

No. Powerlifting competition rules don't allow lifting straps on the platform. They're a training tool: use them to get more quality pulling work in training.

Straps or liquid chalk?

Both do different jobs. Chalk dries the sweat on your palms so your own grip holds better. Straps take over when the load or the reps go beyond what your grip can hold. Most lifters use chalk on every set and add straps for the heaviest or longest ones.

Which pack should I buy?

One pair if it's for you. Two pairs for a spare in your bag or one for your training partner. Three pairs for a training crew, a coach's lifters or a pair in every bag. Each pack is a single shape.
